The effect of application of effluent water on sage (<i>Salvia officinalis</i> L.) yield and quality in lysimeters

ABSTRACT Cultivation of medicinal plants with the irrigation agricultural effluents might be great importance to save fresh water resources, extend cultivation area and increase economic feasibility. We investigated effects saline fish farm effluent water, diluted gypsum-supplemented effluent, natural freshwater as a control in lysimeters. Beside plant growth parameters, macronutrient sodium content amount composition essential oil sage were measured. Significant differences among treatments found height, SPAD value content.
